The Author

Mark Hesketh Jones grew up in Blackburn and attended Lammack C.P. School and Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School - the grammar school mentioned in the book.

After working for a major bank and in the theatre, he now teaches English as a Foreign Language in Malta, where he has lived since November 2007. He has published books on theatre history and he wrote the text of All Souls Church (Peter Wood & Mark Jones).

He is married to Yvonne. Their son Ciaran, to whom the book is dedicated, is a train enthusiast, who has won awards for his model railway layout ‘Horlock’.
